We got a turtle today.
His name is Trippy.
He lives in a Patrón glass.I hope you do know that your turtle will likely become twice or maybe even 3 times the girth of that bottle. At the rate you’re treating it though, it probably wont grow an inch.
Did you do any research before obtaining this water turtle? Probably not. Because if you did you would know that a hatchling turtle needs at least 10 gallons of water and 10 more for every inch it grows. Are you listening?
Water turtles also need filtration. do you know how much ammonia is in their waste? They can get sick from sitting in their filth so a filter with regular cartridge changes is necessary!
A growing turtle also needs a place to get out of the water, which this turtle does not have at all. Have you heard of shell rot? That is a real thing caused by too much time in the water. In addition to somewhere to get out of the water, your turtle will need a basking light to warm himself under. A UVB light is also required for proper digestion of food.
A water heater is also suggested because too cold of water can result in your turtle getting a respiratory infection.
As you can see, you have nothing in the area of proper care for this turtle, and if you are not going to provide it with the necessary things you shouldn’t have it to begin with.Bitch, stop. Thats too much. That turtle is livin the life.
Seriously fuck nut? She’s trying to give you the necessary information to give that turtle the proper care he deserves and you come back with a comment like that? Way to be a stoner douchebag and only help prove to the world that you’re ignorant and probably aren’t even capable of taking care of yourself, let alone another living creature. It’s shit birds like you that give pet owners a bad name. Chances are if you do end up killing that turtle because of a poor habitat you won’t even worry about it. What’s that say about you? That you’re worthless and a low life.
compassioncole asked: hey - this is the person with the empty rum bottle at heroes con you talked to briefly! i was going through the pictures and i just wanted to say that that was my first time cosplaying and meeting you was absolutely the most delightful experience i could have had. you seem to enjoy cosplaying so much and i hope i can be as good at it as you someday : )
Awwwww! Thank you so much for the compliments! ^_^ I definitely love what I do and getting to be Jack is a trip and a half. Performing and entertaining is a big part of my life and doing it as Jack is a real treat. It was great to get to meet you too and I hope you’ve stuck with cosplaying since HeroesCon. Personally, I think it’s more about having fun than being someone’s definition of good. As long as you’re doing what you enjoy, you’re doing it right. Will you be returning to Heroes this year? I’ll be back again and Jack will definitely be on the roster for the weekend, among others. Hope to see you there! Cheers! Also, if you so care to, feel free to find me on Facebook by searching for Pirate Impersonator for Hire. That’s my page specifically for Jack.

manage-to-hang-on asked: Hello! Just wanted to day that I've seen you work around Scarowinds. Not this year but I'm pretty sure I saw you last year or the year before. You're just one of those "scare-ers" that stuck with me! You've done a really good job!
D'awwww, thank you so much! :3 Really means a lot to hear that someone appreciates Harvey like that. It could definitely be either year, I’ve been portraying Harvey for 4 years in a row now. But you haven’t been by yet this season? You should definitely come out, Harvey has even learned some new tricks while sliding that could be awesome to see. ;)
Again, thank you so much for the compliment! I really appreciate it.

Oui! I may be able to provide a proverbial machete to your intellectual thicket… My name is TJ Scronce and I’m actually…I just have this need to want to become part of the world of pirates. I just…
The best advice I can give you is just dive in. That’s what I did about 6 or 7 years ago and haven’t looked back since. Granted it’s been a long road with a lot of ups and downs but in the end my life has been so much better because of it. Being Jack here in NC has been a true pleasure and blessing.
The accent is a fun part of it. Doing the Jack voice for people especially out of gear is even more fun because they usually aren’t expecting it.
I’m not sure if I know of too many Jacks in the West Palm Beach area but I do know of a few that are out and about in Florida. So, I dunno if it would help or not but I’m sure they would be more than happy to help you out if you needed anything. For the most part, the largest portion of our Sparrow community is extremely friendly and very helpful. It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow pirate get started.
I understand about the escape though, I fall into that grove every time I don the gear and go out to entertain. It’s truly something else. So believe me, you don’t have to explain yourself to me.
To be honest, starting out doing your own thing with help and critiques when needed is probably one of the best ways to go about it. I just jumped in head first and learned as I went. If you’re looking for specific trade areas to become proficient in, there’s always ways to learn and improve. Over the years I’ve learned all about leather work, aging processes and techniques, prop fabrication and modification, a great deal on the clothing aspects and also a lot about the history of piracy itself.
As long as you have the passion and drive, you can learn to do just about anything. Apprenticing or not, learning a skill set can be done.
Lol No no, you’re fine, I understand. If you’re serious about getting into the party entertainment scene though, I’m definitely willing to help you out if you’d like. I’ve only been Jack for 3 years now but last year and this year both have been exceedingly busy. It’s all in how much you put into it and how much you’re willing to fight to make it work.

Advertise!I need to be under another for now, and learn their ways. I am still learning the ways of a pirate….reading and learning the speech…so I need them to take me under their wing…hence why I place this out there

HeroesCon Wrap up: Part 2 - COSPLAY SUPER POST!
Here it is guys, the most anticipated post of HeroesCon, the Cosplay Extravaganza! Myself and Tim (NorthStateNerd) went Pokemon style and tried to catch all the great Cosplayers we saw at HeroesCon. We didnt get everyone, but I think we were able to get pictures and speak to some of the best of Saturday!
First I want to highlight our firend Caitlin from Contagious Costuming! Caitin has been working on Warrior Woman for some time and chronicling the whole process on her Facebook Page (Must Like!). Anyway, she debuted the work at Heroes and it came out great! Further Kudos to Caitlin for winning the Ladies Cosplay division on Sunday for her Thanos, which I featured earlier on the site.
For the full run down of all the great cosplay we saw, check the album below, compiled by myself and Tim. Great work to everybody, I had a great time!
BONUS VIDEOS! If you want to see more, I HIGHLY recommend Blake’s Distratotron video from the day, pay close attention for my cameo as “Camera Guy on Left” at around 0:11:
And Contagious Media Productions video rundown of the weekend:
There’s a picture of me and my Sister in the album line up!
:D
And I’m in the bottom video too but I think I already reblogged that from somewhere else
